About

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF 125) meeting will be held in Shenzhen, China. This meeting brings together a global community of engineers, researchers, and vendors to design the protocols that make the internet function.

The IO Foundation (TIOF) will be participating in-person to advocate for the development of technical standards that protect digital citizens through Rights-by-Design. Our involvement focuses on the intersection of internet architecture and human rights, ensuring that the "rules" of the internet are built to be secure, private, and resilient.

During the event, TIOF monitoring specific Working Groups (WGs) where protocol decisions directly impact user safety. By navigating the environment of Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs), we aim to ensure that the future of global internet infrastructure prioritizes the protection of its users.
